Simple Encryption

The objective of encrypting your financial information is to prevent other people from stealing it. AND, it's easy. In fact, it only requires changing a minimum of one (1) number or digit in your credit card account to make the information useless. So, let's look at few examples from Table 3. For instance, you can pick two numbers like 7 and 1 and reverse them; all original 7s are changed to 1s AND all 1s are changed to 7s. In this case, the encrypted account number for Citibank Visa becomes 0723.451.8907.2345.

OR, for the Chase MasterCard you could move the last five numbers and place them at the beginning to produce 1234.5012.3456.7890. Another example would be to simply add a number to each digit. For instance, if you add 1 to each number of the American Express account, it becomes 1234.5678.9012.3456.

As long as you remember the encryption code, your financial information will be readable "FOR YOUR EYES ONLY." Pretty cool, huh?!!
